Even though I haven't shared this blog with anyone yet, I'm still updating so I can get the feel of this. I'm basically talking to myself here. Nothing new, I promise you (me?)...Anyways.....
I'm busy getting ready to move to Carmel in a few weeks, getting more gear, and training as much as possible. I will start posting gear updates as soon as I pick up my first smart phone. I've had a flip phone that I found in a bar bathroom since about 2003, and I went to ATT and they said I'm due for an upgrade. I need the smart phone for GPS, trail apps, and weather/fire/detour updates, and to blog about the trail, of course.
I've decided to keep a trail journal online because I enjoy writing and I would like to share some of my misery with a few people. I'll try to do a good job. Blogging starts in March 2015. I know, buckle your seat belt, right?
I plan on hitting the PCT at the border around April 19th, just ahead of the herd.
